DOMINICAN OPEN FOR STUDENTS
Travellers heading away for a gap year in Dominican Republic resorts have been told by the Ministry of Tourism that the country is open for business. The Ministry are trying to attract young English people by offering a prize-draw for Cheltenham Hospitality Tickets.
In a tourism update, the department stressed that the situation is normal at present, so there should be no obstacles to beginning a gap year in Dominican Republic communities.
The comprehensive statement covers all of the country's transportation, communication and healthcare services, each of which is working fine.
Beaches, hotels and tourism organisations are also currently operating at their usual levels, the statement adds.
Meanwhile, travelling to the region should be hassle-free with seaports, marinas and cruise terminals open to ferry passengers and international airports also running smoothly.
