Who is behind Dominican Republic Informations Website?

My name is François Painchaud, Web enthusiast and Latin America buff rolled into one! People sometimes comment on how I can combine such seemingly dissimilar interests. To me, it is as simple as breathing.

You see, I started out on a career in IT in the most happening of times, the early 1990s. Glorious things were happening at that time. The advent of the Internet was revolutionizing the way business is done all over the world, and it was natural for me to join in the fun.

I was drawn into the dynamics of the internet while working with Linux OS, server management and data transfers. In a short time I had quit my job to set up my own company providing internet strategy consulting to Canadian SMEs.

That was only the beginning, and soon we were branching out into diverse spheres like data hosting, website development, software development, SEO, e-commerce, and providing a bunch of comprehensive software solutions like customer relationship management (CRM) solutions to integrated management software solutions.

We served all possible segments of the market, and could count as our clients various businesses from retail, services, construction, real estate, utilities, transport, aviation, marketing, advertising and many more sectors. We still do those things, and have completed more than 400 successful projects.

And then I did something totally different, something that was to open a window to a completely different area in my life. I visited Latin America and found a new passion.

I have been traveling all over Latin America for well over a year now, researching about these countries to gain a thorough understanding of them. This website is the result of my dream to share my experiences with you.
